Tips on Real Estate and Property Investment
There are the obvious things with Real Estate and Property Investment that we have to learn.
Property cycles, Finance structure, Tax implications, Negotiating and the list goes on.
Most people are down to earth today and know what they don't know. For example, I know that I don't know how to do brain surgery, well, not safely anyway. One of the biggest mistakes people make when starting out is listening to people who really don't know what they're talking about. You wouldn't get advice from the butcher on medicines, no, you'd go to the Pharmacist or Doctor. Your neighbour or friend may have a strong opinion on what to do BUT unless they are doing it AND being successful then what credence should you give them - nought, zilch, nix, none. Even if they are investors BUT not being successful you would have to ask yourself why. I know someone who is well educated in stocks, shares and options BUT he only trades on paper. Would I invest my hard earned cash into what he suggested, I don't think so!
When I stepped into the Real Estate arena I knew very little. I started reading newspapers, magazines, news reports, etc. I listened to the people who were DOING what they spoke about. I had come a long way, knowledge wise, but I still lacked the confidence. Then I heard about this man - Hans Jakobi - This squat, balding man who was so down to earth and straight talking. After checking out his website I realized that I had to further my education, by a quantum leap. He was so up front that I trusted him, and hey, he had an awesome guarantee. I couldn't go wrong. The investment with Hans was a giant step for us - but in hindsight - it's what we had to do to make our move. That is all history now -
Our portfolio is growing strongly (55 % In the last 12 months) I like that, a lot! We actually have a strategy for our rental portfolio now. Hans even gave us a strategies for the emotional aspects of investing Some negotiating principles Hans uses I now use in everyday life Have a look for yourself, YOU be the judge......
